The Switzerland-Morocco Sustainable Tourism program

The Switzerland-Morocco Sustainable Tourism program is one of the various success stories demonstrating SMIT’s commitment to fundraising through strategic partnerships. It is following the national strategy for the development of sustainable tourism and will support the Beni Mellal-Khénifra region and more particularly the provinces of Azilal and Béni Mellal to develop sustainable tourism in order to improve incomes, create new jobs and improve existing ones, especially for women and young people.

The official launch of the Swiss Morocco Sustainable Tourism Program took place on January 26, 2021, in Beni Mellal and resulted in the signing of:

This Integrated Program is based on three main points , namely:

1 -

creation of of framework conditions favorable to the development of sustainable tourism through the provision of tools to local actors enabling them to improve the coordination and sustainable management of the destination

2 -

strengthening the competitiveness and market access of some specific sectors of the tourism value chain and

3 -

the development of skills in tourism
